Oro Valley Little League first began in 2003. We were originally named the Coronado Little League, but in 2014 the Board of Coronado Little League unanimously approved a new name for the league. The name was changed to  Oro Valley Little League (OVLL) to reflect our location and our pride in our town.

The boundaries for OVLL encompass northern Oro Valley as well as the town of Catalina. The schools that feed OVLL include Painted Sky, Copper Creek, Wilson, Coronado and Basis. Most of the kids that play in OVLL will attend Oro Valley’s largest high school, Ironwood Ridge.

OVLL is Growing. In 2016 more than 300 kids, ages four through 12, participated in the league’s spring season. OVLL expects to grow in step with the economic development that is occurring in Oro Valley. Over the past three years, our league has grown by 20%. One of our board’s primary objectives is to formulate a long-term plan for new baseball facilities that can accommodate the anticipated growth of our league and the community.

We currently partner with the Amphitheater School District and we utilize the baseball fields at Coronado K-8 School for our practices and games. Our plan is to eventually have fields built that can accommodate  our long term growth plans.

Our mission at the Oro Valley Little League is to assist children in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being.  By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty. We believe Little League Baseball programs are designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.
